Womens issues

This month we have been presentinh on womens issues in the 1380s,  specifically on marraige, work and childbirth. It wasnt a golden age as some claim, but, women had far more opportunities in that time for work and marraige, than they did before or after under the Tudors. Childbirth was always grim, luckily the midwives had it covered because the men hadnt got a clue,  so they were banned from the birthing room!

I have also stated my 'mason' role setting up in a corner carving some small grotesques from offcuts left behind by the masons who worked on the west tower stairs, I am gearing up slowly for august wgen building Bodiam will be the big theme. I will post some pictures soon.....
